Over the past week, Quant (QNT) surged 322% to reach $257.69. The token also advanced 52% over a 24-hour period, placing it among the day’s top-performing assets.
These increases came on the heels of two disclosures on September 24 linking Quant’s software to bank-managed tokenized deposit systems in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
The Clearing House Brings Quant Into US Bank Plumbing
Owned by 25 of the largest financial institutions in the US, The Clearing House chose Quant to support its On-Chain Money Initiative. The project was initially introduced in June with support from Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, Citi, and Bank of America.
The upcoming shared network is designed to clear and settle tokenized deposits among financial institutions 24 hours a day. These digital equivalents of traditional bank deposits maintain the same regulatory oversight and protections as conventional funds.
Quant is slated to deliver the transaction-management, orchestration, and interoperability layer for the network. In addition, its technology will connect the system to traditional fiat rails such as CHIPS and RTP.
Participating institutions are anticipated to gain access to the network during the first half of 2027. Currently, The Clearing House’s existing networks process over $2 trillion in daily settlements.
Gilbert Verdian, the founder and CEO of Quant, described the agreement on a global scale.
“Tokenized deposits are now the de facto way banks move money on-chain, and The Clearing House sits at the heart of the U.S. banking system, meaning this partnership sets a standard for the rest of the world to follow,” Verdian said.
London Added a Second Headline the Same Day
On that same date, UK Finance reported what it described as the initial live customer transactions utilizing tokenized sterling deposits. These trial runs operated on a common infrastructure built by Quant for the Great British Tokenised Deposit (GBTD) program.
The GBTD project features Santander, NatWest, Nationwide, Monzo, Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC UK, and Barclays. The initial test transactions involved a marketplace purchase and two remortgage completions, with funds automatically locked and disbursed once pre-set conditions were satisfied.
Analyst Ted Pillows also highlighted earlier collaborations via posts on X, pointing to Quant’s integration with Murex’s MX.3 platform in March. He further noted that the European Central Bank (ECB) selected Quant to assist in trials for the digital euro.
Quant’s 2025 announcement indicates it joined nearly 70 pioneer partners chosen by the ECB. Pillows mentioned that QNT has broken out of a five-year downtrend, suggesting it could climb another 100% from the $187 price point observed during his post.
“If momentum continues, QNT could pull another 2x from its current level,” the analyst said.
Achieving that target would push the altcoin close to $373, which remains roughly 13% beneath its record high of $427.42 set in September 2021.
