Securitize shares could experience nearly a 100% gain over the upcoming year, as projected by Cantor Fitzgerald. The financial firm established a target price of $21.20, representing a 95% potential increase compared to Friday’s closing price of $10.86.
On Monday, Cantor initiated coverage with an overweight rating, introducing a Wall Street valuation for a business that converts traditional stocks and funds into blockchain-based tokens.
A $39 Billion Start in a $319 Trillion Market
Analyst Gareth Gacetta positioned Securitize at the beginning of an extensive growth phase. Cantor calculates that approximately $39 billion in assets currently reside onchain, which represents 0.01% of the $319 trillion total value stored in conventional financial assets.
“Tokenization is the largest overhaul financial infrastructure has seen over the past century, and Securitize is the public company covering most of that lifecycle, issuing, registering, custodying, distributing, and enabling trading of the asset under a single roof,” Gacetta said.
Gacetta further noted that if global finance shifts to the blockchain, a significant portion of that activity will likely flow through Securitize. While the overall market scale remains small, independent data validates the firm’s standing.
According to RWA.xyz rankings, Securitize stands as the leading tokenization platform based on distributed asset value, holding $4.64 billion and outperforming Ondo, which sits at $3.63 billion.
The tracking platform records 1,877 holders distributed across 26 tokenized assets. Meanwhile, monthly transfer volume climbed to $1.12 billion, marking a 178% surge compared to the previous month.
The Rally Started With a Rule Change
Cantor’s research note arrived while the equity was already experiencing upward movement. On Thursday, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) unveiled a temporary order outlining a framework that permits designated trading venues to issue tokenized versions of publicly traded United States stocks.
The regulatory decision previously drove a 14% increase in the share price. Monday’s initiation report amplified this momentum, pushing the stock to a close of $13.50—a daily jump of roughly 24%—while after-hours trading saw it near $13.96.
This rapid appreciation narrowed the room for the price target itself. When calculated from Monday’s closing price rather than Friday’s figure, the $21.20 target suggests an upside of approximately 57%. Year-to-date, Securitize has advanced 19.89%, with the vast majority of those gains occurring across the trailing four trading sessions.
