Bitget is dealing with speculation of a security breach after users encountered issues with withdrawals and on-chain records revealed approximately $176 million exiting wallets attributed to the platform.
According to Arkham intelligence, a sequence of substantial transactions occurred across a roughly 20-minute window, originating from multiple Bitget hot wallets along with at least one cold storage address.
A single destination address, 0x770b...63Ee, shows up frequently as the recipient, gathering various tokens such as ETH, AVAX, BNB, USDT, USDC, and XAUT directly from the exchange-associated wallets.
The pattern is unusual because several wallets appear to be sending different assets into the same address within a short period. Similar rapid wallet sweeps can happen during exchange hacks, although exchanges also move funds internally during wallet maintenance or custody changes.
In addition, social media users have flagged difficulties withdrawing funds. Certain accounts additionally allege that a portion of the shifted cryptocurrency was exchanged for ETH, though this detail is absent from the provided screenshot and lacks official verification.
As of now, Bitget has not issued an official statement to clarify the nature of these transfers or to confirm whether a security incident took place.
