Spot trading for Hyperliquid (HYPE) goes live on Binance at 11 a.m. UTC on September 24, featuring trading pairs against Tether (USDT), USDC (USDC), and the Turkish lira (TRY).
Following the publication of the exchange’s notice, HYPE experienced a slight increase in price, though Binance has applied its Seed Tag to the digital asset.
How Binance Is Rolling Out Hyperliquid
The listing announcement was released by Binance early on September 24, shortly before trading commenced, with user deposits for HYPE opening ahead of the launch.
Withdrawals are set to become available at 11 a.m. UTC on September 25. Furthermore, Binance confirmed that no listing fee was charged for the token.
Simultaneously with the launch of trading, spot algorithmic orders become available, while trading bots and spot copy trading are scheduled to roll out within 24 hours.
Access to the TRY pair is restricted exclusively to users holding verified Binance TR accounts. Additionally, individuals residing in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and various other jurisdictions are barred from trading these new pairs.
What the Seed Tag Means for HYPE Traders
The Seed Tag is assigned by Binance to cryptocurrencies deemed to carry higher volatility and risk compared to most other listed assets.
“HYPE is a relatively new token that poses a higher than normal risk, and will likely be subject to high price volatility. Users must exercise sufficient risk management and DYOR (do your own research) to fully understand the project before opting to trade the token,” the exchange said.
As a requirement of the tag, participants must successfully complete a risk quiz every 90 days in order to trade HYPE on Binance Spot or Margin. Modest upward movement was recorded by HYPE immediately following the release of the announcement.
According to TradingView figures for the HYPE/USD pair on Coinbase, the cryptocurrency gained approximately 1.5% in the span of 10 minutes. A brief surge approaching 1.9% occurred prior to a partial retracement of those gains. Across the preceding 24 hours, the altcoin registered a decline of nearly 3% amid broader cryptocurrency market weakness.
Trading officially kicks off at the 11 a.m. UTC milestone. Market participants will then observe whether HYPE can maintain its initial upward momentum as spot trading volume enters the platform.
